DAY 1:

PRINCIPLES OF USER INTERFACE DESIGN

• Understanding UI fundamentals and design psychology.
• Difference between UX and UI roles in product design.
• Core design principles: clarity, consistency, feedback.
• Elements of visual communication and hierarchy.
• Building intuitive navigation and interaction flow.
• Case analysis: comparing modern interface designs.

DAY 2:

COLOR THEORY, TYPOGRAPHY & VISUAL HIERARCHY

• Applying color psychology and accessibility principles.
• Choosing typefaces and designing with legibility in mind.
• Grid systems, spacing, and composition structure.
• Balancing contrast, proximity, and alignment in design.
• Creating brand-consistent palettes and typography sets.
• Exercise: designing visual identity for a web interface.

DAY 3:

DESIGNING LAYOUTS, COMPONENTS & INTERACTIONS

• Understanding responsive and adaptive design systems.
• Designing buttons, forms, icons, and reusable components.
• Using auto-layout and component libraries in Figma.
• Creating visual balance and consistent interface elements.
• Wireframing low- and mid-fidelity UI screens.
• Workshop: building a multi-page UI layout.

DAY 4:

PROTOTYPING, WIREFRAMING & ANIMATION

• From static design to interactive prototype creation.
• Using Figma, Adobe XD, and InVision for prototyping.
• Adding transitions, interactions, and motion design.
• Applying animation principles for digital usability.
• Testing and refining micro-interactions for engagement.
• Lab: prototype and animate a mobile application.

DAY 5:

ACCESSIBILITY, USABILITY & DESIGN SYSTEMS

• Understanding accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Building scalable and reusable UI design systems.
• Conducting usability reviews and design audits.

• Capstone project: designing a complete UI system.
